The Challenge

To give the Critchley Cafe a new identity separate from Age UK

Critchley Cafe is a community hub administered by Age UK in Salford. Footfall had been dropping over the years and it was felt that the reason for this was the cafe just looked like an office for Age UK rather than a multipurpose community centre.

It was decided that the cafe needed its own identity that offered a welcoming atmosphere and would encourage people of all ages, needs and backgrounds to pop in and use the facilities.

Patterns and colour for an easily recognisable brand.

Choosing a complimentary colour group and using repeatable patterns along with quickly recognisable simple imagery was the key to giving the cafe its new identity.
