After agonising about whether to refer to himself in the third person Simon decided to just get on with it and write his bio so you can see what makes him tick.
Way back in 1993 a starry eyed, fresh faced Simon embarked on his career in graphic design at a small print shop in Altrincham. Working primarily with small business needs he quickly had to get to grips with the intricacies of print design and in the process discovered a love of the problem solving nature of graphic design.
Simon has come to relish the challenges of design in an increasingly diverse field. Witnessing first hand the rise of the Internet and other technologies such as the smart phone. Through these new technologies design is increasingly required to reach and effectively communicate with a growing, diverse audience anywhere in the world and Simon has enjoyed working on how design can positively affect these new areas of communication.
Whilst the allure of digital media is strong Simon still has feelings for his first love of print and can be occasionally caught out drunk dialling print to reminisce over the good times, remembering the thrill of the touch of good quality stock and the smell of the printing presses. After all, digital media doesn’t yet reach all the senses.
